Your holiday starts on the late afternoon of the
first day and finishes after breakfast on the final day.
Travel to the start hotel is not included in the holiday price. We
do arrange secure parking for you, sometimes with a small garaging fee,
but do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to your car
while it is there.
If you travel by train, we can arrange for you to be met at the nearest
station and taken to the start hotel. There would normally be a charge
for this.
We recommend bringing good light rainwear and sweaters, and also a
light day-sack to carry these and your camera.
You will enjoy the walk much more if you have done some walking before
you come, and if you wear comfortable, well fitting boots or heavy shoes.
(Don’t arrive with brand new shoes - blisters inevitably follow!)
Please do talk to us if you are uncertain about the walking on any holiday.
We may need to charge a single room supplement, but will quote you
in advance where this becomes necessary.
Your hotel room will have private facilities
of bath or shower, but alas we cannot guarantee that you will have a
bath every night as each hotel differs. The rooms will be twin or double
bedded, so if you have any specific wishes, please let us know when
you book. We will do our best to meet your requirements, within the
limits of the hotels themselves.
If your French is rusty, don’t worry. We translate for you but
it is amazing how brave people become with school French under the helpful
influence of good wine!
